Yesterday I pushed out a early preview of a recent product pivot, and want to get some feedback from IH.
The project is focused on a single KPI most people I talked to got enthusiastic about:
Getting more value from your LinkedIn network.
One of the best ways is to have your profile show up more often - and on top - of the search results with LinkedIn's network search. A signal that LinkedIn uses for its ranking is the amount of endorsements.
Hence, as a professional it makes sense to optimise that. Unfortunately LinkedIn choose to not make it easy for you to request endorsements from your network. Let alone the right and valuable ones.
So I build a tool which creates a landing page showcasing your chosen professional skills, and asks your network to endorse those on LinkedIn.
Check mine out:

Setting up your own showcase is a 2-step process, super quick because it pulls in your existing LinkedIn skills, and is open right now from the homepage.
I want to know:
Here is my feedback
I really like the simplicity of the UI. it's really nice and clean
In my opinion what needs improving is after someone endorses a skill. the user ends up on the LinkedIn profile of the person not knowing what to do next. it would be great if the user can be redirected to the app and the user can see which skills has endorsed

Yes, I agree! Unfortunately endorsements are not supported by the Linkedin API, which might allow a redirect back, so I can only sent someone up to linkedin page in a popup.
Definitely not good UX. I think I could put a message in the main window, that they have to close the popup after endorsing (or tell them in advance).
What are you trying to achieve with your tool?

Linkedin endorsements are useless. They provide zero value to anyone.
Actually, Linkedin search uses endorsements of skills to for its search ranking algorithm.
I do see how IH community doesn't use LinkedIn much, but loads of people use it to get noticed for their professional career.
Agree to some extend, yet it makes a small difference when looking at a profile with 0 endorsements or 99. Also Linkedin just pushed an update where you can see if the endorsements were made by people who worked with you.
