How to effectively send a poll to pre-launch email signups?

I made a pre-launch landing page to capture emails. I should have added a poll to capture more data from them.

Now I'd like to email them a poll. What's the most effective way to email a poll but also not annoy the user or get caught in spam? In the past I'd use Mailchimp but I'm not sure if that's still the industry standard.
