Hi,
I was wondering whether anyone has any idea whether having .herokuapp in your app domain has any effect on traffic, or user engagement. Did any perhaps see a spike in customer after getting rid of the .herokuapp for your domain name ??
I don't have any metrics per say, but I know since I am a developer, if I ever see .herokuapp in the URL, I am less likely to signup or login if they ask. Having .herokuapp in the URL to me means that it isn't in the final state yet and that whoever is making it isn't 100% confident in the product yet. It is fine for quick feedback, but for anything "private" like user data, if the team can't pay the $5 (or less) a month for a domain name, I don't think I can commit to the project.
