B2B Case Studies

I have some prospective clients who are requesting track records of work carried out.

With some of these companies, we had pursued an 18-month discussion to develop a SaaS solution, which they would fund. It fell through.

Would it be correct to use that proposal work (research, app demos, coding of an algo to demo the vision) as a case study? It was not a truly "in-depth" work.

My plan is to write up a one-page case study, outlining the project, work we did etc.

Thoughts?

Just my opinion. If you aren't able to release the product then it shouldn't be part of the case study. Case studies at least in the SaaS world are used to show success of the product. User engagement, retention must all be part of the discussion.

      Thanks Sharjeel,

This was my thinking too originally. I was also debating if I could use that work to form a case study for a service.

But I agree, I should not use it.
