Feedback: Appreciate your inputs on curated resources (courses, books, articles) for side hustlers.

Hello everyone, if any of you are looking to start a side hustle keeping your day job, I've curated the best resources on my new blog http://extramoney.co/

My mission is simple:
I want to help people (like me) who are frustrated with their 9-5 jobs to find best resources (courses, books, articles etc) that help them earn sustainable income on the side, and live the way they love.

This is a basic version of the idea, if it works, I also have a plan to enable reviews and ratings (trustpilot for courses) from users for the courses they enrolled. This way others can discover the best courses (excluding MOOCs like udemy/lynda) based on the peer recommendations.

Can you please provide your thoughts on any improvement and if it actually useful for side hustlers?

    Hi
I personally love to read these kinds of things, so I may be a part of your target audience. ;) I have some thoughts on your website because at the moment I don't really feel for using the website. I find it a bit messy. I think you are gaping over too much, if I was you I would consider either focus on articles OR books OR courses, it will also make the purpose of the website much more clear. Another thing's then clicking on a resource, I expect it will open directly to the website with the original resources(maybe in another tab).

Have you considered adding some kind of text in the start beside "Curated Resources for Individuals to Upskill and Earn Extra Money on the Side."? Right now I would not quite understand what the website do for me if I just found it on google. Describe the pain point you are solving and then show them for your solution!

    Best of luck

Thanks Frederik for your feedback. This is a quick launch to learn more about the target users without spending to much time on polishing. I will learn and iterate from your (and others) feedback.

As per narrowing down, I thought of focusing on Courses alone but included other resources thinking those might inspire (case studies) and give more info for the users. But if that is more confusing, I will remove all other stuff. Will wait to hear from others.

I deliberately made it to open an internal page and then clickable link (I know there is a bit of friction of 2 clicks), just because people might want to read comments (if any) and reviews (future) and other course info before directly landing into the website. Please let me know if you think otherwise, I will change it.

Regarding the copy, please see how does this sound? (I'm a terrible copywriter though)

"Are you searching the internet for hours to find the best courses to upskill and earn side income?
We got you covered, we spent a lot of time curating the best resources, so you don't have to."

I can see what you mean with the internal page, but at the moment it doesn't give so much value( to me at least). Maybe you could do something align Hacker News?

        I like this ;)

Thanks Frederiket, the other thought of internal page was (at later stage) I can place small sponsorship ad (not adwords) one per page to make small money. I only get paid if I get users to clink on the internal page and view the ad.

I will change the headline given you liked it and make more sense to me as well. Great learning.

A few thoughts in no particular order:

    1. Remove the email signup from the top of the page, as it gets in the way of the search function. The one at the bottom of the page is fine.
    2. Remove the Blog if there's nothing in it.
    3. The detail page for each product doesn't have enough information and there's blog related concepts all over the page. If these are curated products, it would be good to get a full in-depth review of your experience with it on the detail page. You probably wouldn't need the blog if you did that as well.
    4. The text size of the copy should be increased.

Also: I like the concept, but it would be a lot better if you spoke about your personal experiences with each product.

Thanks Monsiv for your feedback. This is a learning for me, I will make changes as suggested.
