Hi, I am about to acquire a website including a opt-in email base (in EU). I will keep on running the business as is. Anyone knows if I can start sending emails without asking of 'new' consent because of change of owner? Thanks!
I don't have the answer to your questions, but I believe you have to notify all of your users that primary data administrator has changed and give them full details if your administrator (which usually is a name, surname, and full business address). HTH
Edit: You should also verify if the Terms of Service of the original owner allowed him to sell his business and pass the data. If it wasn't clear from the ToS, I'd say you have to collect the new consent anyway.
