1 month since the last podcast. Will they be phased out? I'll definitely miss them :-(

Title says it all.

Producing a good podcast is very hard to juggle with writing a lot of code for IH. It started to get away from me toward the end of last year. I was doing everything last minute, which was not only stressful, but also led to a worse show in many ways. So when I went on vacation for a couple weeks in January, I just decided to take a long break.

I actually started back working on it again 2 weeks ago. I've recorded four episodes, scheduled another 8 or so, and planned out a long list of guests to get in contact with for the rest of the year. I've also spent some time dwelling on how to become a better interviewer, streamlining some processes, finding a better transcriptionist, etc.

Now that I'm ahead on everything and feeling more confident about the show, I'll probably start releasing episodes again around the end of Feb or beginning of March.

your a very good at interviewing @csallen

i was listening today to the two brothers who made email octopus episode. they said when they launched they had 200+ people raring to go.

and i was thinking: "please how, tell me how, please, what did they do... "

and right on cue you said:

"i really want to dig into that a bit deeper"

      Legendary Interviewer status confirmed. 🥂

      Hi Courtland,

thanks for this reply, it really put me at ease. I love your podcast, and would definitely miss it if it were gone.

And I really like the way you talk. It's so engaging and motivated, that really makes it stand out.

      Thanks for doing this!

I have some interesting people that would probably love a podcast of sorts, one of them has a company generating 1,000,000€ per hour, he has some tips to share :)

      Hi Courtland!
I've been lurking for the past 3 months and decided to sign up ~ 2 weeks ago. I'm really thankful for the community you're building here!

Anyway, back to the topic. For transcriptions you might want to check out Descript. It was founded by Andrew Mason. Here's the PH page.

Nice! I can only imagine how much work goes into them.

In the meantime, it'd be cool if you could add this below the newsletter section on /podcast:

      <div>Will be back in 2-3 weeks</div>

      Or a countdown :D .

I would also really miss them (just for the record). They're the most valuable part of IH to me.

The podcasts are one of the best things about IH. It'd be madness to stop doing them!

      Thank goodness.

I hope not. I love listening to them on the train.
