Hey guys,
Since many of you are starting companies or several companies I'm curious if you've found a service that can do your accounting for you. Right now we use Clerky to incorporate and Bench to do our bookkeeping but having to retain a CPA and do a bunch of manual work is slowing us down (we're a small team).
Just curious how you all handle that side of the business?
Hi Moe:
I'm a bit late to the party but I'm curious which manual work in particular is slowing you down? And why did you have to hire a CPA in addition to Bench?
I run some projects/businesses in this space. They are by no means a full suite to do your accounting. But to do that it’s part of the “big plan”, I’ve been postponing it thus far because it’s tricky to take all different rules/laws into account. Easiest approach would to start with one country (US for Bench) and go from there.
Happy to discuss these ideas a bit more.
Question: is a CPA engaged on an ongoing basis or only to do the audits etc during a specific time of year?
Right now the issue is quarterly tax filing and random state and city tax forms we have to fill out and mail in every six months or so. Ideally all that is taken care of for us.
