Yo IH, need your help! I just updated my personal website and added a page for startup resources and some MVP tools I've used (link below). I'm thinking about expanding the content to be on-page previews and not just links. What do you think? Any tips/examples of better layouts I could use for my personal website for this startup resources page?
I've posted quite a bit of content via Medium and YouTube on going from idea to scale (and acquisition), so I have a ton of content. I don't want to cram it all in on the startup resources page or my site in blog format (since it's on other platforms), just clean and simple way to include some previews possibly and links.
My website before this had a very "branded" and "salesy" feel to it IMHO. I'll link to it below for reference as to what I'm moving on from..
I like the minimalist aesthetic much more than the salesy one. Which one is better really depends on your audience.
How could this page be better? Hmmm.
Skimming the page, the two headers in yellow ("Step-By-Step Guides" and "MVP Tools") stand out to me the most. They're the first thing I look at, even before the intro paragraph, which is a bit hard to read because it's all in bold. However, neither header is particularly entrancing. Maybe they can say something more directly connected to what I might want, e.g. "Build a Successful Startup" and "Quickly Create an MVP".
I find the font a tiny bit difficult to read, especially when it's bold.
Thanks for the feedback Courtland! These are great notes and I just updated the page with some of them.
