Is Association Management Software viable ?

I woke up seeing how inconsistent my high school alma-mater whatstapp group has become due to so much announcements and documents being shared.

I started thinking of a SAAS based association management software My research has led me to about 17 such products but I am not sure it will really yield much revenue.

Is there anyone in this field willing to share the prospects and possible problems?
