I have an idea for a tool targeting indie hackers/solopernuers/solo developers etc, and I'm wondering if I should start with a web or mobile version for the MVP.
I'm very experienced with mobile development, so that would be the quicker route. Although I'm not sure that is the right call, because I mostly use the web versions.
How do you use your essential tools (Trello, time tracker, etc.) from mobile or web?
hard to give advice without knowing a bit more about what it does.
At it's core, a simple project management tool with a few interesting features (at least I think so).
If project management tool,i prefer using web version. Because i work mostly on desktop.
Thanks, most comments so far seem to be leaning that way.
web would be my vote then
I use only apple notes, on mobile and web. Besides this I use most of tools (gitlab, trello, gdocs) on web, rather than mobile.
And of course the most important tool I use offline - notebook + pen :)
Thanks, very helpful :)
get it out quickly - desktop for sure... mobile is more difficult
In what sense is mobile more difficult? For me It would be easier from the development side, since I'm a full time mobile developer.
Built an API backend so that you can create a web or mobile front-end as needed. Start with web since it is a project management tool and I will hate to use one on my phone (personally)
Thanks, that makes sense :)
Hard to say without knowing what it does but in 90% of the cases, I would always suggest going for a web version, unless you need specific mobile functionality (like camera).
I went into more details in another comment, but there's no mobile specific functionality.
Since I'm a developer first, I spend most of my time on a desktop. Maybe someone who is more marketing orientated uses their smartphone more. I don't want to presume :)
Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Seems like responsive is the way to go.
