Hey everyone,
I'd like to know what you guys think of my landing page/concept/idea.
Concept: Snapchat Code (the QR Code from Snapchat) printed on a T-Shirt with custom text.
Audience: Everyday young people, who use Snapchat and just want to promote their Snapchat account, meet more people from diverse locations (in my case that would be music festivals), but also business people who would very much like to get more clients/fans using such method and platform.
Although it had a pretty positive impact on Product Hunt (200 upvotes), I feel like something is missing, so I'm asking for your help.
Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks in advance for your time :)
PS: On the header mockup is Gary Vee's Snapcode and Bitmoji :) (I'm a big fan of him)
Landing page looks good! I think the FOMO app would be a great addition to it.
Product wise, I like the shirt, but I agree with @HelenRyles your target should be influencers, marketers and businesses.
Your shirts are a great way for teams to stand out at a marketing event. Instead of the usual marketing materials such as flyers your shirts are a way for brands to be unique.
For influencers I’m thinking vloggers and instagram celebs. Maybe instead of contacting the personalities directly you could try to target their agency’s. Companies like vampped.com should be receptive to the product.
I would get a handful of shirts made for popular vloggers and snapchatters. Send them out.
If your shirt is worn on Snapchat that reaches your perfect audience immediately.
Are there any big brand or event snapchat accounts you could send a sample to? Consider working hard on getting bulk orders with one snapchat code on them. Profits really increase if you are shipping 20 shirts to one address. Think of teams of people at PR events, conferences. Marketing teams and expos.
That's a good marketing plan indeed. I'll do some research about this and try it out. Thank you.
Love these ideas. Marketing is definitely going to be the key for this idea and influencers seem the best route. I thought about taking advantage of some social media marketing event or other venue where many snapchatters would gather.
Three quick things: orange is a highly distinctive color and is not all that far from red, the highest priority eye-catching color for calls to action (typically for urgent problems). The entire brand colorway is largely the same sort of orange so the CTA doesn't stand out. Consider trying a unique color for the CTA? Green is often good but with a orange/yellow hued brand colorway, I'd want to test something tending more towards blue as well. Second, in non-hebrew languages the eye is trained to read—and scan— from top-left towards bottom-right. We've found many times over A/B tests that CTA buttons toward the bottom right perform better. You should test that. Last, it seems like a good automated side-business. But how much is the shirt? Oh, you have all that and a lot more below the fold. It seems like too much for what is a very simple concept. Can you simplify the page (and perhaps not have others), and surface the pricing along with the CTA? (answer, yes you can variant test all of these things and more easily).
Good luck!
Thanks Wadenick for the detailed feedback, you are completely right. I did not think about this when I made the design. My goal was just to make it look good. Is there a way to get in touch with you in private?
Not bad! The landing page is nice but the call to action wasn't clear to me. Some of the page interactions are a bit confusing, for example the How it works section let me to believe I could click on them, but after clicking on them nothing happened. I'm still not sure if that's a bug or an oversight, but either way I would suggest removing the interactivity in that section until it needs it.
Thank you for the feedback. I'll take that into consideration :)
No way! I tried to order create one of these for myself. First, i went to spreadsheet and they told me it was illegal because at that time it was with snapchat's logo in the middle (I don't know how the laws with this kind of t-shirts). Secondly, I tried to create it by myself with an H&M t-shirt and some iron-clothing-printing paper, it was just horrible and went off in the first wash.
Overall nice landing page, but I would switch the blocks a bit around. Underneath the header(or the first block) I would put the features to keep the attention of the users. After that, i would give your testimonial and then the "ways to use" block. Lastly, i would add the buying block.
I would totally get rid of the "how it works", but if you were to keep it I would put it further down because I believe the other blocks make people buy more.
I find your header and subheader a bit long and misdirecting. I actually don't want to read the entire sentence. Maybe just something simple as header: "Make more friends on snapchat", subheader: "With a custom t-shirt of your snapchat code".
cool product.
i agree with the comments.
i don't see random people walking down the street in this.
i can see it being used at events. stuff like university open days perhaps.
