Talking to your users is important. Users are often busy so what strategies are there to engage your users so you can ask them about their pain points?
One thing to start with is putting your own personality out there preemptively. I certainly find that when I engage with folks they already have an idea of what I/we are like. that helps a lot. They don't think like they're talking to a black box.

You need to conduct frequent interviews with customers, users (if customers aren't the ones who use your product), and potential users and customers.
It's so crucial that I consider it necessary to have these research tasks defined as a high level role, which must be carried out by the founders (at least the first years).
It's necessary to define a permanent agenda of interviews, in which the fundamental issues of the client's situation with regard to the problem are deeply studied:
i dont have a contact form on my site i always found them annoying and the user may have to wait 24-48hours or w.e , so i direct everyone to twitter and they can freely DM me and i will respond personally and tbh a lot faster than via email , so im becoming more human and dealing with my users on a personal friendly level
