Connecting with web design & build agencies / freelancers in the US & UK

this product

Now that Trolley is established, I want to connect with potential partners like web development companies & freelancers.
(If they build client sites and integrate Trolley for payments, I'd give them a revenue share from the payment processing fee that Trolley collects)

The trouble is, I'm not sure where web designers hang out these days!

What are some good forums, FB groups and subreddits to check out?

I personally find lots of web designers on FB groups. Some of them are already working at my https://designas.co

Hey @rorygibson – Trolley looks great! Good to see a fellow Yorkshireman on here too 😀

I run Jekyll Themes and it looks like this would work well for people using Jekyll and other static site generators.

I'll add this to my list of resources to feature on the site. You could also check out https://www.reddit.com/r/Jekyll/ and http://talk.jekyllrb.com/ to reach the Jekyll community.

The revenue share is a great idea to get agencies/freelancers on board too!

      Hi @mikeh!
Static site generators are definitely a focus.

I really appreciate the help. If you do get the chance to add Trolley to your Resources section, you could use the following text:

Trolley is a simple checkout solution designed for static site
      generators and JAMstack sites.
It's quick to get started, works with Stripe and it's designed
mobile-first so your customers get a great experience.

Let me know if you get a chance to post about Trolley and I'll retweet and re-share Jekyll Themes too :)

If you are looking to collaborate and develop partnerships with web development companies, it is best to reach them via LinkedIn. Get Sales Navigator (you get 30 days free trail) and create a list of companies working you want to contact.

Use Booleans feature to reach the decision makers and not waste time in getting hold of decision maker. The video below explains how it works.

For freelancers you can try Twitter by researching on hashtags they are following

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware of Sales Navigator :)

I'd google 'serverless checkout', 'serverless payments' -- you'll notice a bunch of tutorials/articles on the subject. See if you can comment, improve, or "copy" i.e. make your own, better content on the similar subject.

As far as where to share it, you could also look to see where those articles where shared, something like:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Areddit.com+https%3A%2F%2Fcss-tricks.com%2Fcreating-vue-js-serverless-checkout-part-one&oq=site%3Areddit.com+https%3A%2F%2Fcss-tricks.com%2Fcreating-vue-js-serverless-checkout-part-one

Shows; reddit.com/r/vuejs, reactjs -- ahrefs or similar might be more helpful there.

You are definitely on the right track mentioning gatsby/client side/SPA on your homepage already but you might see about how you can contribute back to some of the open source projects to get recognition?

After all the research you could do a round up article on all the different ways to do serverless payments and be legit, explain to people what you built and that you did the research and wanted to share all the possibilities/features.

Us devs are all scatter brained all over the place, twitter, reddit, medium, who knows where else, we love new shiny stuff though. Hope it helps.

Really good advice, thanks! I especially like the roundup article idea.
