What was the biggest waste of money in your startup?

Just wondering what was the biggest waste of money in your startup? What could have been done or bought instead?
At Palar , it was probably a year ago or so when we hired a marketing consultant. He was a good guy but our product just wasn't fully ready and automated, so we ended up with some issues with our competitive pricing.

Our biggest waste of money in https://mailforge.io , was that we purchased licenses for many third party integrations a lot earlier than we actually needed them.
We should have focused on heavy features first, and integrate the paid services in the end if possible. That would have saved us thousands of dollars over the last year.
Now i know that for the next project :)
