Need your advise to improve my newly launched side project
Hi
About a month ago, we launched a website https://dev-videos.com, basically the idea is to pull all the youtube videos mentioned from hacker news and stack overflow. We did some SEO, got some pretty good traffic,(over 100 visitors daily from organic search) but the problem is, we can't compete with youtube in google search result to get higher ranking,(because we are using the same title and content) we are a bit lost on how to make this site better.
I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on improving our website to the next level.
Thanks
What I would do is instead of pulling everything from youtube is create a curated catalog of videos and categorize them. You could also have users submit videos and have a voting system.
Thanks for the suggestion.
we kind of have that catalog feature, https://dev-videos.com/tutorials, but it is a manual process.
we do have user submission,(bottom right), but no one use it. :(
we are planning to have voting system, but it is low priority.
