    Hi,

For me on an iPhone 8, 12.0.1 in Safari it i ok. I had one minor issue with the menu not displaying on click but it later worked. The biggest problem is the scroll. I would really like just a native scroll without the inertia effect, because that effect actually makes it harder to use as it is now (/document page for example was much easier to use)

I could read everything on the landing page, but there was some buttons that didn't line up so there is some need for style fixes if you want it perfect for smaller devices.

The "sad section" in the bottom was not so nice. Cannot you spin it around and have a happy planet and a text: "We are working hard to create Primer for you guys, please help us spread the word!" And just keep the blue button. (the Primer sucks button really gave me a negative vibe for the site).

And please, give the robot a animation bouncing up and down, levitating in the air :D

Yeah, true. I just got fixated on using parallax that I didn't think about UX for mobile at all. I will change it. Though not now.

Yeah, I need to ensure that people on smaller devices are able to read. I am a bit of noob on the css side. So, will test more devices for smaller screens.

Wow, that's a nice idea. I did it for fun. Never really much thought about the downsides.

      Changed it right away.

      Done Right away, Sir. :D

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback., Sir. Really appreciate it. :)

    Hey Siddharth,

Awesome job on launching PrimerLabs! I think it’s really well executed, and I can see that you put a ton of time and effort into building it out.

Here are my thoughts on the site, though please take them with a grain of salt, as I’m no expert.

What I like about the site:
    -Love the font
-Absolutely love the animations + graphics
-From the design, I can immediately tell that you’re trying to make learning fun, interactive, and creative
-You clearly establish that you have a lot of expert knowledge in the field (via the whitepaper + documentation)

What I think could be improved in the long run:
-The background videos/gifs seem cool (on the fullscreen version of the site), but it’s honestly a bit difficult to see what’s happening 1. because of the color overlay and 2. the overlaid description box. I would suggest centering the content in each panel, with the description box on top and the video underneath (so that the video is no longer in the background).

-I feel like there’s way too much space between each panel (I have to scroll quite a bit to get to the next one). I would reduce the space (the space doesn’t need to be a full panel, maybe like 1/3 the height of a panel) or remove it entirely.

-I also agree with the previous comment — the parallax effect is quite distracting, and I’d prefer a native scroll.

-I personally think there are too many links in each description box. I believe that your landing page should be doing most of the work in terms of selling your product to your audience. It’s great to have a few links to other pages on your site to help your audience understand your product, but I don’t think every bullet should have a link. I would try to limit it to 1-2 links per description box. I think you can make your bullet points a bit longer and include a brief definition of what some of those terms mean (“DRY Principle, application based, etc.)

-In the “Tracks to be released by the end of the year” panel, I would suggest
    * changing the Serif font to something Sans-serif (maybe even the font you use everywhere else) so that you retain that fun, creative vibe. The Serif font just seems out of place with the rest of your design.
    * getting rid of the card hover effects if you can’t actually click on any of the cards right now. The hover effect makes it seem like the card will take you to another page.

-If your target audience is English speakers, I would recommend getting a native speaker to proofread your content. It’s pretty good overall, but I do see some grammar mistakes here and there. This is especially important for your landing page, because, as I said before, you’re selling your product and you want your copy to be clear and persuasive.

-Lastly, I think there are too many colors used for all the call-to-action buttons (you use black, green, blue, and white). I would stick to using 1 or 2 colors, (if you use 2 colors, each color should have a different purpose — 1 color could be for learning more/signing up for an email list, and the other color could be for actually signing up for PrimerLabs).

I hope you’ll find some of these points helpful. Wishing you the best, and awesome job so far!

Wow. Amy. Thanks a lot. That is detailed response with many great points.

Thank you for liking the website. :D

If your target audience is English speakers, I would recommend getting a native speaker to proofread your content.

I have asked someone to proofread the thing. I launched it earlier because of personal reasons. I have been working on this for quite sometime with nothing show. That's why build the homepage. Will definitely get it proof read.

Lastly, I think there are too many colors used for all the call-to-action buttons
That's so true. I have very little idea about designs, so just build whatever I felt like. Should have kept the whole website having a color palette in mind. I have asked a UI / UX designer friend to help me out. She will take some time, but I will definitely get a style-guide done.

In the “Tracks to be released by the end of the year” panel
Actually the font is Ubuntu but I forgot to import in the stylesheet. Lol. Will change that. Thanks for catching this one.
Yeah, actually the hover effect was for clicking and it would take you to the courses each tracks has. I removed it at the last moment, because it was a lot more text and syllabus ( basically ).

I also agree with the previous comment — the parallax effect is quite distracting, and I’d prefer a native scroll.
I feel like there’s way too much space between each panel
Am beginning to feel the same. It will take time to redesign the entire thing, but I will remove the monstrosity called Parallax. :|

      The background videos/gifs seem cool
I also notice that I subconciously ignore them. Maybe because of my habit from other websites. Not a good place to keep something that you want the user to actually notice. Will remove it.

Thank You a Lot Amy, I will make necessary changes and post again in two-three weeks, when I launch the application for everyone.

You took a lot of time giving such a detailed feedback. If there is anything I can help with, please do let me know at my mail mentioned in the website. :)

No problem at all, and thank you for being so responsive to the feedback!

I actually think it’s great that you launched the site early on — like a lot of other people, I believe in most cases, it’s better to have something out there than nothing at all because it isn’t “perfect”.

I feel you — design is one of my weakest points, and I’m trying to practice a little every week and get better. It’s great that you have a UI/UX designer, though! A style guide/mini design system will help a ton.

No rush on all these suggestions — I would just do a little bit every week. As you probably know, the best part about software is that you can always iterate and make it better! :)

And no worries about reciprocating! I just want to help other Indie Hackers out because I know the process of creating and asking for feedback can be difficult at times.

Best of luck, and keep it up!
