This is an interesting article about the growth of malware apps in the Google Play Store.
Some of these apps have MILLIONS of users.
I'm curious how they obtained their user base. Does anyone have any insight here.
A legit app could get a nice VC round with a million users.
I'm curious what kind of growth hacks they're doing or is it literally enough to just sit in the app store and show up in the app store search results.
Now these apps MAY have an unfair advantage as if they were malware maybe they were making money and just buying ads to push the apps.
The other free apps might not be able to compete if they're either free or just running ads. They wouldn't have the revenue to buy the ads.
