Ack! How about instead of getting “certified” we learn how to build our own business and become a self reliant business owner 🤓

Large firms still do not understand the cloud. I speak with senior management all the time. They talk about "lift and shift". They think this is the cloud. Replacing on-premise for hosted hardware. But this is not the cloud. The cloud is software that is written with newer architecture, not monolithic. Senior management are unwilling to do this. End of story. They will sink with the ship. As they do not get it. I get calls for micro-services all the time. The management thinks that restful services replaces SOAP. I will never take interviews when they are stuck in the monolithic mind set. Even database suppliers are froze in the old world and they cannot comprehend DBaaS. In 2018 we rebuilt my SaaS so to scale without a single database limiting growth. Now it auto scales using DBaaS so that a new database is spun up when the rules provide and user management is managed outside the database nodes.
