Any other mentor programs out there like Y combinator startup school?
Are there any other programs like startup school out there that I could sign up to? Preferably ones that don't have like a million dollar fee or something haha Something that would at least give me a little guidance?
There are quite a few programs beyond YC Startup School, but the right choice depends on what a founder actually needs: mentorship, peer community, structured learning, funding, or access to investors.
I’d compare programs based on the stage of the startup and the type of support they provide rather than the brand name alone. The most useful program is usually the one that addresses the founder’s current bottleneck.
I've been called! I run mentorcruise.com, which offers its fair share of experienced business/startup mentors at a very fair price.
There's pioneer.app, which has a lot of similarities with Startup School but that's more peer-based overall. You can get advice from experienced people on there though, and I think you can direct mentorship if you win the tournament.
I highly recommend it. We were recently selected as winners and what you get in exchange for 1% equity is well worth it.
Just doing the tournament part is great too. The leaderboard and weekly updates is really motivating.
Yeahhh I recently saw that and now I'm looking at it more. Looks actually really promising haha

What are you looking to get that you didn't get out of Startup School?
I'm currently doing it right now and its fine but I just want to keep my options open and receive guidance from multiple sources if thats possible. You get what I'm saying?
