Hi, fellow Indie Hackers,
I'm a full-stack developer with more than 15 years of experience, including Javascript.
In the last few years, my framework of choice for frontend has been (mostly) Django.
As I prepare to launch 2 new SaaS projects this year (maybe even more), I decided to invest some time learning React to create a bit more user-friendly experience...
You can check out the beta for my 1st project of the year: https://securify.developer-service.io/
But my question is, what are the best resources to learn React? Any recommendations?
Thanks.
The official docs include guides. At your level of experience, I think you'd learn a lot faster starting there than at external tutorials.
Then rebuild some UIs you've previously written with other libraries.
I started with that, but some patterns are not easy to understand.
And they don't refer to using other packages to extend functionality, there is were other tutorials can help.
I personally learned React while working on a project.
I think that's the best way to learn it: get started with a project and find out how to do stuff along the way. The documentation is helpful, but you'll quickly find everything you need to know via dev.to or youtube.
Agree with that, at university only learned JAVA and C++ (besides Assembly).
All other modern frameworks I have been learning by doing, but sometimes is good to have an initial idea before digging in (at least for me).
Thanks for the reply.
