I have been enhancing a fork of command line tool for jira https://github.com/palashkulsh/jira-cmd for the past 2.5 years. I did this solely for making my life easier .
you can
-- create jira by command line (cli)
-- view jiras on cli
-- create template for creating new similar jira super fast
-- edit jira to add attributes
-- assign jira from cli
-- save nick names for people and use them while assigning or commenting
-- jira jira query language to view jiras
-- script any of the features to your own short scripts.
-- aggregate jiras like sql group by so as to know how many issues are in a project assigned to you or status wise distribution of tasks assigned to you . endless possibilities.
-- add issues in sprint, single or bulk
many many more
install it by
npm install -g cmd-jira
I guess others who want to skip the clicks and mouse would find it helpful. I personally have saved a ton of explicit and implicit time using this tool. Its roughly to the score of 20-25 mins per day (jira brower time + context switches between things i am doing).
Sharing as a new year gift to friends around the world who unknowingly wanted it in their lives.
