Create an experience, a story, a memory.

Indiehackers!

I wanted to write this post to:

  1. Compliment you all on your projects.
  2. Share something I don’t think a lot, if any of you founders are doing.

When creating a user On boarding journey How many of you are taking phone numbers on your sign up flows?

Imagine if you started calling or texting your new users as opposed to sending an automated email along the lines of “Hey XXX, this is John Doe the founder of ACME let me know if I can help” you’d be creating a truly personable experience for them, how many of those user do you think would churn after month one?

Let me know your thoughts.

I'm personally very protective of my phone number and wouldn't want to give it out or let people send me promotional stuff through it.

Of course - which I completely understand. I'm not saying in the sense of spamming a potential user, more of a way of connecting with a user on a more personal level with the aim of letting them know ''they are more than just a user of my product'' - which could help in creating a customer for life, not just a month or two.

      What're your thoughts on that?
