Do you perform load test on your web services?

I do not perform load testing on my web applications because I am a developer and do not provide maintenance services to the websites for the longer run. However, there is an issue with load testing is that there are different factors involved in load testing including server and hosting platform. So I am not sure that the problem is with the server or I need to refactor the code.
