Don't reinvent the wheel

Disclosure: I use this more as a notepad than to ask for help or feedback (but all comments are welcome, even from you trolls). I guess in a year's time people can see what I what thinking day to day week to week when Surveybean is making 500K a month.

My 2-Sided market problem. A 2-sided market is where buyers and sellers met to exchange products. The difficulty is buyers don't want to be there without sellers and sellers don't want to be there without buyers.

Case studies
AirBnB: Joe Gebbia and Bill Gross decided to turn their loft into a Bed and Breakfast

WeWork: Adam Neumann partnered with a real estate owner who owned a vacant building (the owner needed to generate more revenue).

Lesson: Every 2 sided market starts with 1 partnership/ conversation. Focus on 1 at a time.

I don't own a coffee store to provide discounted coffee for every founder's survey that's completed but I do have the internet. Using my internet powers I can find lots of coffee stores already doing discounts. Rather than asking stores to do a discount especially for me, it's best to partner with stores that already do promotional deals and expand their distribution and marketing (at 0 cost to them).

    great strategy!

i would just add that as soon as you close stores that already do a discount, partnering up with stores that don't do any discount yet will become much easier for you, because those stores that you already closed will serve as social proof:

93 cafe owners already make an extra $749/month with me, so why wouldn't you grow your business too?

      Definitely!

I think I can do one better lookout for a post later today.
