1The failure mode is real: the useful line leaves the PDF and never lands anywhere durable. Capturing the clipboard in the background solves the “forgot to paste” part. The part I still care about for research reading is the return path — can I reopen the exact passage months later, with a short note of why it mattered, without hunting through a flat list of snippets. That is the lane I am building with Omphalis: stay with the source, mark sparingly, attach a question or note beside the lines, come back from the mark. Clipboard salvage and in-document marks solve different halves of the same frustration; curious whether your users ask for jump-back to page once the library of snippets grows.5 days ago Reply
