Finding the best day to launch on PH...
Hey, Dan here - indie dev working on hunted.space (and others š¬).
I am on a mission to understand when it is best to launch on Product Hunt.
I've recently launched a product and even though it did well, I didn't even manage to get in the top 10 that day.
Since then I understood that the launch day makes a world of difference and that unfortunately - I haven't picked a good one.
Because of this, I'm now building hunted.space to gather stats and offer an overview of the launches on a calendar.
In hindsight, I can see many "openings" in both in December & January.
So my plan is to surface this data and make it easier for others to find a "good day".
This can go in many directions, so I'd like to get your feedback on it.
On my TODO list I have the following:
- look at historical data to predict future "good dates"
- make stats on products vs comments vs topics to reveal patterns for top products
- get insight on being "hunted" by a popular PH user & correlation to votes
- build monthly charts with votes, # of products & comments
But what would you like to see?
