First paying client \0/

This year I started working on a product that a former consulting client needed. I saw potential in the product beyond the first customer and started building it.

There was no landing page, sign up, stripe billing, etc. Just an API that they could query and get back some results.

This wasn't a quick build; it took almost 6 months for the API to pass the testing criteria set by the customer. I spent a lot of hours building it. I also racked up $10k+ in AWS costs in the process.

It felt great to send the first invoice two weeks ago and the payment finally landing in my account last week.
