Has anyone tried selling Cookiecutter software templates?

Hi all! I am curious if anyone has tried creating Cookiecutter software project templates and selling them to customers?

I have an idea of creating a site that people can go to test out various combinations of machine learning vendors and models. When they find a combination that works best for their use case, they can purchase a customized template to run the machine learning software stack in their own environment.

I was thinking about selling Docker containers, or trying to figure out a way to automatically chain together code, when I recently came across Cookiecutter and it seems like a great way to deliver such a project stack.

I especially like the "wizard-like" prompts. I envision using this to prompt users to put in API keys, point to databases, etc.

Has anyone else tried selling Cookiecutter templates?

Thanks!

I use to use the Django one, it was amazing. Saved a ton of time and the defaults were great.

The Python/Django community seem to not have many paid packages unlike Laravel which has 100s.

Thanks! I've read a lot of great reviews about the Django Cookiecutter as well. Great to hear that you liked it.
