How do you go about finding users to join your waitlist or Beta program?
We are getting closer to the launch of Jem Social and I fear we won't reach the goal of 500 waitlist users but, I think it is time for me to ask for ways to gather more waitlist users. I have shared on Twitter, Instagram, Reddit (this has been difficult though), TikTok, Craigslist ($5-10 ads) and I fear I won't hit the 500 users, we are currently at 215, so almost halfway but, we have about 4 more weeks so I'd need to gather at least 60-70 more waitlist users weekly. What would you suggest?
Do you think you were able to locate where your potential users are? Posting on all those channels sounds a lot like a scattershot or spray and pray approach.
Also, I wonder, what is your conversion rate (i.e. traffic to sign-ups)? Asking because your landing page is relying too much on the dating app analogy. It might be off-putting for some people ("This will probably turn into a new dating app. No, thanks.").
As an idea, utilize the network effect. Ask your waitlist for them to share with their circles. This might help you to understand the actual commitment of your waitlist. And also would help you to get new people on your list. Add this ask to your welcome email too so any new sign-up is also see that message.
