How do you handle database performance when your app starts getting more users?
I'm working on a small web app and I'm trying to understand when I should start worrying about database performance.
Do you usually optimize queries first, add indexes, use caching, or move to a bigger database server?
I'd love to hear what actually worked for people when their projects started getting real traffic.
