How many conversations does it take to validate a use case?

We recently launched Scribbl.co. The product was built for software sales people but we recently had some sign ups from Product Managers. This prompted us to begin exploring a new use case that is focused on Product Managers challenges with their current customer interview process.

Nice idea, but not sure about "privacy", not all customers like to be registered, maybe something out of sight for customer can be used (for example record call audio/video sharing )

You want 100-1,000 visits to a landing page, than see what your percentage is for a specific traffic source

But honestly it changes widely based on what's the potential life time value from a customer.
And what would be your acquisition costs.

If you planning on running ads as income you might need to validate over 10k
If you sell high ticket B2B, 3 hits might be plenty of they are genuinely deeply interested and are willing to commit... (It's easy to have non commit and get no where with them as well or take years..)

The questions is can you imagine being profitable? if you had to pay lets say 0.10$ per visitor (if US generic non qualified traffic), with your conversion rate and pricing and lifetime value you'r thinking of, could you make money?

Or if it's too expensive, do you have a good tactic that you think would make it spread by itself, if so your next focus should be on it..
