Why publish anything if no one is going to read it, right?
So, besides content creation per se, content marketing is also about distribution.
Where am I going with this?
Last week I published an article about the Top 45 Digital Marketing Articles of 2019.
I included posts from many different writers.
A part of anyone's content distribution plan should be letting people know you've mentioned them/their work/their website.
Therefore, I had to let every one of these blog writers know that we've featured them.
And the best way to do that is usually through LinkedIn.
However, there is this 'Who can send you invitations' preferences setting on LI and one of the options is to ask from anyone who's trying to connect with you to provide your email - a solid way to reduce spammy invitations drastically.
In my case, four of these people had this option enabled.
But did that stop me from connecting with them?
Not really.
Because I found their emails within seconds - for free.
