How to get on track after a rushed launch?

So, I launched Prep(https://www.indiehackers.com/product/prep-university-companion) straight to Play Store and App Store on Jan with no social media presence, little to no subscribers or Leeds.

So, you guessed it, I got very little downloads, and in-panic I published on Product Hunt, without even a Landin Page, so didn't get a better visit-to-download ratio.

I'm slowly gaining social media presence, the idea is neat and there is a lot of features to publish and deliver as promised (Only published a 1/3 feature, 2nd almost ready).

And I'm soon going to launch the Web-App. What do you people suggest?

In a way this can be looked at as a blessing! Many people focus so much on a “launch” and then two weeks later they get down on themselves when the spike of traffic vanishes (trough of sorrow).

I would focus on only 3 marketing channels that are SUSTAINABLE and SCALABE, and then test and track results. An example could be something Content, Google Ads and Social Media. Test channels like this for 3 months, track the metrics and add and drop new channels based on the traction you’re getting.

Launches help get a handful of users in the beginning, but models like the one described above help your company sustainably make money - so don’t stress too much 🤗

@mrbenny Really appreciate the feedback. I definitely have diverted into the path of re-launching now from time to time in different platforms, so that the product keeps getting new interests

Launches are an overrated legacy from old entrepreneurship.

    Show up consistently.

Do things that don't scale while keeping an eye on how the non-scalable strategy will fit into a scalable strategy

Dang, I'd seen a similar thread on Twitter, and that has definitely given me a good dopamine rush to trust my product and work on.

      Really appreciate the feedback.
