How to know if i’m progressing

Hi! This is my first post in indiehackers, but i joined some time ago.

Recently i started my own blog, i’m a senior full stack dev from Spain, and i’ve been teaching programming to many people since a lot of my students asks me if i have resources to learn or if i have a course,i created a blog.

Now my question is, how can i measure if i’m progressing and people is finding my content useful?

(Maybe the question is too generic?)

Thanks!!

Best way is probably to ask your students.

Other measures could be measuring traffic to the blog or how much time visitors spend on the pages.

I guess for traffic measuring i need more content, bounce rate actually is close to 50%, most of my articles comes from problems that i spot on a regular basis on my students, so can i say that my content ideas are validated?

Thanks for your time and help!

I guess the content ideas would be validated, but it doesn't necessarily mean your content is.

How do you know that your readers/students are taking away what they need to? Or how do you know if it is helping to solve their challenge?

I see... i think right now what im going to try is to validate my content with my students 1:1, since i don't have too much traffic right now

Thanks for your time, it really helped me!

No problem, report back when you have made progress! 😊
