How's everyone's cold email outreach going?

We tried about 5 different templates over 120 leads and got no responses. Then about 3 weeks ago I hit on a different vertical (COVID has had different effects across the e-com industries) and rough template with a better amount of customisation and product summary. I'm probably getting close to 5% responses at the moment which is nice.

I've been on a couple of subsequent Zoom calls (about 1 a week, but plan to ramp this up). I find it fairly scary, but am also well aware it's probably the best thing I could be doing for my business. Customer feedback + a chance of a sale.

I set aside Monday each week for emails and then schedule calls throughout. How do you handle cold outreach?
