I built BeCharts — free online chart maker (CSV → PNG/SVG/PDF)

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I built BeCharts — a free browser chart editor for report-ready charts without Excel formatting fights or a heavy design suite.

What it does today:

• 100+ templates across 20+ chart types (bar, line, pie, sankey, treemap, sunburst, and more)

• Paste from Excel / Google Sheets, import CSV, or use AI for starter data

• Live preview styling, then export PNG, SVG, or PDF

• No account required to create and download

• Saves stay in your browser unless you share

Why I’m working on it: I kept needing clear charts for decks and reports, and the usual tools felt either painful (spreadsheets) or oversized (full design apps). BeCharts is the middle path.

Would love feedback:

1) Which chart type do you reach for most?

2) What’s missing for your weekly report / deck workflow?

There aren't many users yet, so it's impossible to see which chart is most popular.

The no-account export to PNG, SVG and PDF is a really nice choice for something people usually need right before a report or deck deadline. With 100+ templates already there, BeCharts feels like it could be getting a lot more organic traffic than it is right now. Curious which chart types are actually getting used the most so far?

The no-account export flow makes this easy to try without much friction. Curious which use case people are actually coming to BeCharts for first.

Actually, there aren't many users using it right now, so I haven't continued to iterate on it much.

That makes sense. With usage still that low, it’s probably too early to infer which use case is really pulling people in.

So for now, I don't know what to do next, I can only pause for now.

That’s understandable. Since you’ve reached a point where you’re unsure what to do next, I’d be interested in continuing the conversation beyond the thread — would you be open to sharing the best email to reach you on?
