I'm Rashid, a solo dev from Pakistan. I just launched SalePilot — a real-time sales tracker for Gumroad and Whop sellers.
THE PROBLEM
Every Gumroad seller knows this pain: refreshing the dashboard 50 times a day just to see if a sale came in. And when it does, you manually create a license key, email the customer, and log it somewhere. Exhausting.
I was doing this myself. So I built the tool I wished existed.
WHAT SALEPILOT DOES
• Real-time notifications on every sale (via ntfy — free, works on any phone)
• Auto-generates a unique license key for every customer
• Clean dashboard with sales, revenue, license tracking
• Date filters (Today / This Week / This Month / All Time)
• Weekly breakdown for monthly view
• CSV export for accounting
• Public license verification API
• Works with BOTH Gumroad AND Whop
HOW IT WORKS
Setup takes literally 30 seconds.
TECH STACK
• Python FastAPI
• PostgreSQL (on Railway)
• Jinja2 + Tailwind for the UI
• ntfy.sh for push notifications
• Gumroad + Whop webhooks
LESSONS THAT COST ME TIME
• passlib + bcrypt are incompatible on Python 3.13. Use bcrypt directly.
• Gumroad sends tier info as "variants[Tier]" (capital T) — not lowercase. Hours lost debugging this.
• Railway's runtime.txt is fragile — let it auto-detect Python.
• Starlette's TemplateResponse API changed — needs request as the first arg now.
• Multi-tenant SaaS needs per-user ntfy topics. Can't share one global topic.
PRICING
• Free: 1 product, 20 sales/month
• Starter ($9/mo): 5 products, 200 sales/month, license keys
• Pro ($29/mo): 25 products, 2,000 sales/month, CSV export, verify API
• Business ($79/mo): unlimited everything
Currently all features are unlocked during testing.

Would love feedback on:
→ Pricing structure — too much, too little?
→ Anything confusing in onboarding?
→ Would you actually pay for this?
Happy to answer questions about the build, the stack, or webhook edge cases.
Curious how long it took before you saw the first real results?
About 2 weeks of building before anything was live.
First real "results" — still waiting. I'm at 0 paying
customers.
Building solo from Pakistan. Long game.

Nice work shipping it. What has been the biggest challenge since launch?
Thanks! Biggest challenge: finding the right audience.
The product works — but dual-platform sellers
(Gumroad + Whop) are a small niche. Still figuring
out where they hang out.
Any advice from your launches?
— Rashid
This is useful. How are you finding your first users so far?
Honest — struggling.
Tried:
• Twitter replies to sellers
• Gumroad Discover outreach
• Fiverr gig
• This Indie Hackers post
If you know anyone selling on both Gumroad + Whop,
would love an intro.

The automation is more interesting than the dashboard. Have any sellers actually stopped checking Gumroad/Whop manually because SalePilot handled the sales and license workflow?
You've hit the core value prop — the automation
is what actually saves time.
Honest answer: no sellers have fully stopped
manual checks yet because I'm at 0 paying
customers. Just launched.
If you sell on both platforms, I'd love to give
you free access to test if the automation actually
holds up. Would love your honest feedback.

The automation is the part I’d want to test. If you’re open to it, what’s the best email to reach you on?

Thanks for the follow-up — really appreciate
your question on the automation side.
Landing page with 5-min demo:

Quick q: are you testing as a seller or as a
fellow builder? Just want to send the right
materials.

Awesome. rashidbusiness123kid@gmail.com
Shoot me a note — I'll send you access details
within a few hours and I'd love your honest take
on the automation specifically.
— Rashid
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
Hey Aryan,
You framed the core question better than my landing
page does — is this a real workflow change or just
another dashboard?
That's the bet: the dashboard alone doesn't change
behavior, the phone notification does. But I haven't
proven it yet.
Current state, honestly:
• ~10 sellers testing on the free plan
• 0 paying customers
• Early signal (3 data points): testers check the
notification before they open Gumroad, but that's
not proof
Two ways I can make this useful for you:
automation fire on a real sale
decisions, you tell me where the thesis breaks
Happy with either. Or both.
