I built TURNIT because creating social content from scratch gets exhausting

TURNIT turns content you already have into social media content—hooks, scripts, captions, CTAs, hashtags, and a thumbnail concept.

TURNIT AI content repurposing tool

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I’m Jessica, a solo maker, and TURNIT is my first product.

I built TURNIT around a simple problem: sometimes you already have the content, but turning it into social media content takes a lot of extra time.

So instead of starting from scratch every time, TURNIT lets you give it content you already own and tell it what you want to create.

It currently generates:

  • 5 hooks

  • 3 short-form scripts

  • A caption

  • A CTA

  • Hashtags

  • A thumbnail concept

I’ve launched it, but I’m still very early and learning from real users.

Right now, I’m especially interested in hearing from creators, founders, and marketers:

When you repurpose content for social media, what part of the process do you find most frustrating or time-consuming?

I'd love to learn from the Indie Hackers community. 🚀

This is a real pain point. Creating daily social posts from scratch takes time away from building the product. For repurposing, I’d select the two or three strongest angles from the source instead of generating ten versions of the same idea. Hooks should use specific details, while tone, length, and CTA rules keep the output on brand. I’d also test hashtags against the metric that matters and use a few consistent thumbnail templates. How are you checking that the generated posts are accurate and on-brand—human review, checks against the source, or engagement results?

I'm especially curious to hear from other indie hackers, creators, and founders: When you have a piece of content you're proud of, what usually stops you from turning it into more social content? Is it coming up with ideas, writing the posts, staying consistent, or simply finding the time? I'm building TURNIT in public, so honest feedback would be really helpful.
