I didn’t need better AI — I needed less friction

Hey everyone,

Lately I’ve been using tools like OpenAI and Claude for image generation and creative work. They’re incredibly powerful.

But after a while, I noticed something:

The problem wasn’t the AI itself.
It was how I had to use it.

Before

My workflow usually looked like this:

  • Open OpenAI or Claude
  • Write a prompt
  • Adjust the wording
  • Try again
  • Change the style
  • Try again

Over and over.

At some point, I realized I was spending more time figuring out how to ask than actually creating anything. That’s when I started looking into ideas behind Whisk AI and even tried tools like whisk ai.

After

Then I started trying a different approach, something closer to a Whisk AI-style workflow.

Instead of focusing on perfect prompts, it’s more about:

  • generating quickly
  • iterating fast
  • focusing on output instead of input

That’s what led me to explore this more deeply through whisk ai.

This tool is inspired by the same direction as Whisk AI, but with a focus on simplicity and speed. It’s still an AI image generator, but the goal is different.

Reduce friction.
Remove overthinking.
Make creation feel lightweight.

The shift

I came to a simple realization:

I didn’t need better AI. I needed less friction.

A lot of the ideas behind Whisk AI point in this direction as well—less prompt engineering, more workflow thinking.

We’ve spent a lot of time optimizing prompts.
Maybe the next step is optimizing workflows.

Curious how others are approaching this.

Are you still deep into prompt engineering with OpenAI or Claude,
or starting to explore tools and workflows like Whisk AI?
