Disclaimer; I am not technical, I struggle with HTML, I am a marketeer / seo / educator.
I own an ESL site that offers human feedback on students' essays.
I plan to eventually roll out AI grading of essays, but the first step is building a database of essays that have been graded by a human.
I am just struggling with what tech I would need for this.
The workflow would look like this:
Student logs in, copy pastes their essay into our __________ (database? webapp? platform? No idea!?!).
Teacher logs in, grades the essay on four criteria, these grades are then added together and an overall grade is assigned.
The student is then emailed the grades, along with the additional video feedback given by the tutor.
I have around 20 different essay questions at the moment.
It would be a bonus if it could integrate with our existing tech, Teachable, and Freshdesk, but it is not absolutely essential at the moment.
The end result is that we have a database of essays, and their corresponding score, and then we train an algo to learn how to grade essays automatically.
What's the best way forward for this?
Web app? Airtable? Notion? No-code? Python?
I'd rather not make the solution myself, it would be far quicker and secure to hire a developer to sort this out, just need to get educated on the options.
Don't forget to keep track of your project after launching it. Check in my assignment helper on it occasionally to see how it's doing, and make changes and improvements as needed. With a little bit of care and attention, your no-code project can be a huge success!
Hi,
You don't need a dev to complete this.
Your post sounds like Airtable could complete about 95% of it. (Might need Zapier/Make, not sure yet)...
Feel free to DM me if you need some help.
