Looking for a cofounder, or to join a startup?

Hi everyone, I’m the founder of Hyperfound – the cofounding platform for remote startups.

We are building Hyperfound to make the cofounding process much easier and faster for startup founders all over the world, and we hope it will also help many indie hackers in starting their projects and startups.

Below, you can find more info on what we do and our original approach. We're really curious to know what you think of it, and hope to see you aboard!

Cofounding made easy

Today, finding a cofounder is an extremely time-consuming and complicated task. Moreover, it usually happens in the early days of a company, at a time when entrepreneurs should be focused on building their product. We don't think that's how things should be, and we believe there's a better way.

We are building a platform where founders - no matter where they are - have the means to easily find the ideal cofounders for their projects, without having to spend an enormous amount of time on things that don’t really matter.

Our goal is to make cofounding simple, safe, fast and better.

Remote teams have the advantage

As remote startups are on the rise and always more people get used to working remotely, location seems to matter less everyday. There’s also a lot of great (and free) tools that gives the edge to remote teams, and so remote working has quickly become a comparable (if not better) solution to “not-remote” working.

We believe founders should give much more importance to skills and mutual compatibility with potential cofounders, rather than where they’re currently based.
Hyperfound focuses on remote working to drastically increase the scope of your search and the relevance when matching cofounders.

At the same time, we’re removing barriers in the startup world.
In other words, we allow startups to be born anywhere and empower founders regardless of where they live. This makes us both really thrilled and proud of building something that could have a huge impact in the startup world, by making remote startups not only possible but also convenient, on a global scale.

We care about trust and safety

However, we are fully aware that trust among cofounders is fundamental, and that the idea of working remotely with a stranger can be a setback. That’s why we came up with Trials and Hypercontracts.

  • Trials are short tasks designed to be completed together with prospective cofounders, whose aim is to check if you really make a great team and you would be happy working with each other;
  • Hypercontracts are simple, legally-binding contracts whose purpose is to set the terms of the collaboration between cofounders (even before incorporation) in an extremely straightforward and transparent way. Done in a matter of minutes.

(Note: Hyperfound is useful also in cases that don’t explicitly involve a startup - such as ideas or side-projects - but which still require looking for a specific profile and needs a reliable way to establish trust and peace of mind to all parties involved)

Finally, if you aren’t directly interested but would still like to support us and help spread the word (on Twitter, or anywhere else), it would really mean a lot to us.

Would be more than happy to know what you think of Hyperfound, and if you have any question I’d be glad to answer them!

    Are you promoting your service?

    1. 1

It was more about letting the community know about a service that could be useful to many of you guys, rather than an attempt at self-promotion. I'm sorry if it came out that way!
