Hi all,
(I know this is a duplicate post from the one in I&V, but realized this group is actually the right place to ask this question and couldn't figure out how to move it. =0 )
I've been playing around a while with this idea to build an webpage/webapp that keeps track of new software releases. I.e. dev-tools, programming languages, modules etc.
Some months ago I bought a domain and even had a landing page up for a while. I wrote some code and was tracking about 35 open-source software for their releases. But decided to take it down a few weeks ago because of time constraints and felt I was not really convinced about the projects feasibility and value it would provide.
This morning I had the idea that I should maybe trim it down to sending personalized emails. You will receive an email if new releases are available, only for softwares you have subscribed to.
What do you think? Would this work and would it helpful to you to receive email notifications on releases and notes for software you use in your projects?
Thanks in advance for filling in the poll!
