I launched Side Project Stack as a way to help reduce the effort and time to make a no-code side project.
The app I made and launched generates a recommended stack of no-code tools to make your idea( is a #nocode app I’ll have you know! 👊🏼).
What's interesting about it is, the stack recommendations are based off of real data from actual Makers who have successfully shipped no-code side projects.
I recently hit a milestone of 1,000 no-code stacks generated. So I thought it would be helpful to open up the data from this and share it. I recently shared all the data from what I learned right here: https://twitter.com/MichaelJNovotny/status/1242812715854450688?s=20
Also, if you are interested in version 2.0, feel free to sign up for the newsletter so you don't miss it.
I've already started vastly improved version 2.0 and will be releasing soon.
Im so confused when people say no code apps? like how can an app be made without a programmer? and branded original? I don't get it still, can someone explain?
There's basically a lot of tools out there that provide such high level abstractions for building things that it feels like you're not writing code.
Think website builders like Squarespace or WordPress, but up a level.
Obviously, those tools are made up of a lot of code, and learning them can take as much work as learning to code, so I'd say the skills involved are just different.
This is still unclear, so you build a web app using bubble.io and then use integrations such as zappier, slack, air table. ??? IDK how this works. can someone please explain.
Hey Austin, sorry for not responding sooner I just saw your reply.
Yes you can build simple web apps, not just static websites, or even complex apps without code. Here are a couple examples. Let me know if this helps:
Simple web app:
Dreamvacay.carrd.co - get free text message reminders to save towards your dream vacation.
How does it work?
User lands on web page, fills out a form using typeform, that data then is sent to zapier, in zapier you can write basic logic and rules and direct outputs based on the user's inputs. Then zapier also has a rules engine that you can write without using code to send personalized reminder text messages through Twilio.
All with no code.
tech stack: carrd.co>typeform?zapier?twilio
Complex web app:
Writers compound https://www.writerscompound.com/ - online community with user log in where you can submit blogs and get feedback.
How does it work?
User lands on the web page, signs in, creates a user profile and begin writing blogs that are saved to the users profile.
All with no code.
tech stack: bubble.io
does that help?
