MVP Released, Feedback is Appreciated!

Started a new project 8 weeks ago. I'm heading to a pitch competition tomorrow night to show it off and get feedback. We have about 15 companies using it so far, but I'd love to get the Indie Hacker perspective from y'all. Check it out at www.outcomeshq.com!

Hi @andrew_bpco, I'm in Washington DC also. Where is the pitch competition, I would to check it out and support OutcomesHQ

A fellow DMV hacker! Nice. I actually live in Fairfax, but my day job's office is in DC. The event itself is being held at "MakeOffices at the Wharf." Here's a link to the Eventbrite page if you want to sign up and pitch too!

    Hi Andrew,

I like the site, it's clear what the value proposition is and why I should try it.

One question though. Is the idea that each of the employees log in and update their progress towards their individual outcome, or is this for managers to use to assign outcomes and privately track progress themselves on behalf of those employees?

Great question. The way I've implemented this process in all my consulting engagements is to have the teams executing the strategies provide the updates. Our update flow has a handful of questions that the team needs to fill out, so it's not a simple, "Things are fine," type of update.

We're actually trying to eliminate the "manager as the source of everything" mentality that exists with dinosaur-like companies. Our customers are likely to have already adopted the concept of autonomous teams that control their own path, but they're struggling with creating visibility and capturing the new operating paradigm.

Also worth pointing out: this isn't a backlog tracking tool. The primary users are C-Suite execs, senior VPs, and Directors. The individual contributors will all have access and can provide quick updates, but the main objective is for leadership to be able to visualize the core objectives the organization has and how things are trending on that journey.
