My First ProductHunt Launch - Vailable

Hi everyone! This morning, I released my event/meeting scheduling app (vailable.io) on ProductHunt: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/vailable. I’m super excited considering that this is my first ProductHunt launch ever, and I had only used forum-based platforms to gather new users before (mostly Reddit and Facebook).

To be quite honest, I was very hesitant to release on ProductHunt this year due to the COVID-19 situation drastically decreasing the number of meetings and large events. Naturally, this climate isn’t the best setting for my event/meeting scheduling app. However, I slowly realized that recently a lot of my users have been scheduling virtual meetings through Vailable, and decided that launching this year wouldn’t be that bad of an idea.

I’m pumped to see how this day plays out, and plan on writing a reflective post within the next week or so. I’m curious however, for the ProductHunt alumni out there - how was your first launch? What did you learn and how would you tweak your strategies in future launches? Also, for those who host their apps on AWS servers, how do you handle pre-launch scaling?
