On-boarding widget

One of my projects has quite a setup... and I'm loosing a lot of potential customers, because they get stuck in a middle of a way. And it's tough to re-engage with them.

I've been reading about "Time to Value" metric and decided to focus on it as a primary metric. One of ideas, is to add an "onboarding widget" to help user go through multitude of steps to get be able to receive value.

Has anyone built such a functionality? maybe there is something off the shelf that I can use here?
