I'm currently in the stage of choosing a niche where I see my product working at its best.
Picking a niche means I need to change my websites messaging to fit that audience, how do I not discourage other user groups from using it? I'm also slightly worried getting "stuck" in a niche.

I'd go the route of making separate landers for each niche you want to market to while keeping your home page somewhat generic. This will give you the flexibility of speaking direct to a niche or niches, while having a more catch all home page that will speak to many groups at once.
Have even seen some sub-landing pages using GET ?= to customize it even more.
Definitely could, but I'd avoid any way to inject text to your site via a query string, just keep it to a boolean or field that's used to trigger the customizations
I've seen the query string text inject abused so many times in screen grabs, it's just too easy for somebody that doesn't even know how to edit the page source to be malicious
True. No need for the additional error handlings/coding. :)
Great advice. Could also put a very simple question with choice of CTA to lead to the right landing page.
I.e. Are your a "marketer" or "business owner". Then the page can speak to them.
digging that idea. on the flip side, i would try to keep the options to a minimum (2-3 at most) as to not cause any sort of decision paralysis for the user
Nice idea!
Thank you for your input, I didn't think of this but i'll definitely be looking into that approach some more. Thanks for the inspo
no problem at all!
Trying to be for everybody is the easiest and surest way of being for nobody.
I took a look at your page. You should mention why newny is different that says subreddits, facebook groups, and linkedin. Honestly, from that page, I can't see why.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm definitely going to be reviewing this and seutching my language to really point out the differences of Newny to all other discussion related platforms
