[ProductHunt Question] Product of the Day vs. More Traffic?

Hey guys!
What's better in your opinion - being the #1 Product of the Day (gaining social proof, flexing the badge on your landing page), or gathering more traffic (launching on a weekday)?

Seems like we are having a week long discussion inside our team, and I'd really love to get your opinion on this.

1. Was being a product of the day brought a lot of good things for you?
2. What's the traffic difference on weekdays compared with the weekends, on ProductHunt?
3. Is it smart to aim for the badge, or aim for more traffic (launch on weekend vs. weekday)?
