Roast my "Building in public" Blog

Hi everyone,

I just launched a blog where I document my process of building a feedback app for indie hackers and Solopreneurs in public:
indiebootstrapper.com.

I hope to achieve 2 things with this blog:

  1. Receive feedback so I can build a product others care about
  2. Help others by sharing my own experiences

I'm very grateful for roastings and even more so if someone subscribes!

I know it looks kinda shitty and thrown together - but I wanted to put it out asap and have time to improve it later ;)

I think it looks fine. Since you are targeting IHs, I don't think you need anything fancy since we know what it takes and how it works.

I would recommend maybe splitting the top into two columns and putting your sub box on one side and recent posts on another.

Too many times people say they will do something and then they start slacking or drop the ball. Seeing your recent posts right next to the sub box without having to scroll will let visitors know that you are current and hopefully the post titles will be enticing enough for them to sub. E.g. "The Tech Stack I use for my SaaS and what you can learn from it" was compelling to me so I clicked to check it out. :)

    ALl the best!

      Hi KSP,
thanks so much for taking the time!
The feedback is really valuable and gives me a new perspective! While development I played around with a two column layout but didn't consider putting recent posts into one column. I'm definitely going to give it a try!
Thanks again so much and let me know how I can return the favour :)
      Cheers,
      Niclas

      Hi Chris,
I checked out your webiste / challenge and really like it! However, I don't want to rebuild an already existing product and I'm also not in the No-Code business. But Thanks so much for reaching out! I'm sure your challenge will be a huge success :)
